•Simplifying Credit Card Agreements

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is working to create short and understandable credit card agreements that consumers would actually read. Credit cards may be simple to use, but agreements are typically long and full of technical language.

Take a look at a sample form, where consumer can weigh in with their thoughts to help make credit card agreements better.  

• Worried about January Bills? 

Take the advice of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and avoid holiday debt. Their tips include:

  • Make a list and check it twice,  start by creating a holiday spending plan.
  • Keep track of what you spend.
  • Check the details when purchasing a gift card - Any fees that may be imposed in connection with the card will be provided on or with the card.
  • Think twice about Credit Cards – Have a plan on how to pay them off, this includes store cards.
