Charlie Fisher is OSPIRG’s state director.
Before joining OSPIRG, Charlie oversaw Environment Oregon’s field work and clean energy policy development, during which he ran successful campaigns to ban plastic bags in multiple cities around the state, led a statewide effort to stop logging around Crater Lake National Park, and spearheaded a series of local organizing campaigns to increase solar access to individuals and businesses in communities around Oregon.
In addition to policy and advocacy work, Charlie also has extensive experience overseeing and managing grassroots outreach field campaigns. Since 2012, Charlie has overseen multiple citizen outreach offices, during which he’s helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars and build membership for progressive organizations in Oregon.
Charlie grew up in Seattle and graduated from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY with a B.A. in Political Science.
